Would you like to help researchers who are doing a study investigating the control of blood vessels in your body? We are conducting a study, at the University of Texas at Arlington, to investigate why African Americans have a higher risk for several diseases that involve reduced blood vessel function including high blood pressure and diabetes. We also want to look at the relationship between increased daily peanut consumption and the control of blood flow in your body. If you are allergic to peanuts you may still qualify.

This brief survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes. It will ask a series of questions that will let the researchers know if you are potentially qualified for the study. After you complete this short survey, the research team will review it. If based on the responses, you are still potentially eligible, a member of the research team will contact you to discuss the next steps which will include a visit to the lab to further determine eligibility.

To take Part in this study, you must:
1)   Be between the ages of 18-50 and of Black or White race
2)   Be available for ~4 hours per visit
3)   Be non-pregnant, not breast feeding, non-diabetic, and non-smoker
4)   Have no history of cardiovascular disease.
5) Be available to visit the lab in person at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, TX.
